I just uploaded the first release candidate of Sculpt 25.10 RC1 for PC under the following URLs. It’s also available via the Sculpt “System → Update” dialog in entry https://depot.genode.org/chelmuth from a running Sculpt installation.
Iirc, the logo does show but a bad sector is reported and it hangs. There is nothing important on this usb install so I am expecting to make a fresh one when the release comes out.
I tried out the new version on my notebook. Apart from a few occasional glitches and fine-tuning, it seems to work. I’m looking forward to trying out the new syntax when I get the chance.
Great news. In light of the new HRD - or HID? - have publishers received a press release? Liam Proven of The Register seems to have a soft spot for interesting systems like Plan 9, Genode and Haiku.
In order to use a VM with the new Debian 13, I tried to create one with the Debian13.1.0 component. Unfortunately, it kept crashing. I can attach the /report/logs file if that helps.
Please do, I’ll check here as well. That being said, the pkg changed somewhat and is now expected to be routed to the recall_fs where it will create a vm sub-directory that will now contain the machine.vbox6, machine.vdi and the installer .iso.
So you have to point vbox6 to /recall_fs/debian-13.1.0/vm.

Installing the debian-13.1.0 pkg and downloading the .iso into the recall_fs went fine here. However, I noticed that you cannot use the … button with the recall_fs.
