I could not resist and reaped the low hanging fruit (i.e. adapted the themed_decorator) as a first step. You can install it from my depot or simply replace the pkg attribute in /model/options/window_manager by “jschlatow/pkg/themed_decorator/2026-06-17”.
The adapted themed_decorator significantly increases the size of the window controls. I also decided to go with a doodle-style theme and using the generated xkcd-inspired font:
