Hi, the CPU boils even if nothing is really running. This happens while I’m using my internal HHD to store apps I run. Intel i7-5500u 2.4ghz.
Suggestions on how to fix this/ log what is causing this?
You may use alex-ab’s top-view tool to analyze CPU hogs.

Seems good but fan works continuously and I feel my CPU at higher temperatures than usual.
Do you have a tool to see temperatures? I feel hot all the right side so probably it is my HHD instead of CPU for sure. Why is it so hot? I’m not running anything that should take all my hard disk stressed.
With Thunderbird VM turned on idle my CPU is always around 30% . Intel core i7 5 gen u series.
Please check x86 CPU frequency and power steering with Sculpt 23.10. With that tool you see the frequencies of your CPUs and may try to tweak them manually.
Very sorry to see both the errors even if I gave system access (I can read it has it also from the deploy file so no idea why this happens)

Also when I remove it the system crashes and I must turn it off.
IA32_MPERF and IA32_APERF are ancient architectural MSRs present since 1st-gen Nehalem (2008). My 5th-gen Broadwell definitely has them. Last version 26.04.2 installed.
Probably you missed to select the checkbox as described in the article.
I wish I did aha. No I did and also through terminal I saw it was active.
Mmh, I have no idea why you see this message, if everything is correctly configured (assuming you run Sculpt 26.04 release with the nova kernel).
Another option, you may try: adjust the defaults in the grub.cfg of your boot medium, e.g. replace intel_hwp_performance to intel_hwp_balanced or intel_hwp_power_saving or remove the configuration at all.
